Bronze statuette of the goddess Nephthys Bronze statuette of the goddess Nephthys
The striding goddess, her left foot advancing, wears a striped tripartite wig crowned by her distinctive headdress made of the hieroglyphs that form her name, recessed sections still retain traces of polychrome inlay. The rims of her eyes and the stripes of her wig are inlaid in black bronze with gold to her eyes and most unusually she has silver inlays to her nails. She wears a tight calf-length sheath-like dress.
The right foot is restored.

Provenance: private collection Sweden, acquired prior to 1937
