Below the waist the body of the flat figure terminates in a long pointed tang. A tall conical headdress decorated with deep diagonal grooves crowns the large head which has a prominent nose and cursory lips, flanked by wide deep-set eyes and large ears pierced to take earrings (one coiled example remains).
