Of semicircular form decorated in relief with the head of Medusa. Yellow painted, thick rope-like tresses framing the face terminate in uprearing snakes either side of the cheeks. Prominent rims, beneath a straight brow, frame her eyes, Her open lips reveal her tongue slightly protruding from between her teeth.

South Italian. 3rd century BC
