The god Khnum is shown seated on a throne raised on a base with his foot towards a wheel on which is raised a tall mound, possibly the mound of creation. Before him is a standing bull-headed god, whilst behind can be seen part of a knife being brandished indicating this is a scene of protective gods. Possibly from a very large shrine or naos.

Late Dynastic Period.
30th Dynasty, c. 350 BC

Dimensions: 32.5 x 35.5 x 19.8 cm (12 3/4 x 14 x 7 3/4 ins)

Provenance: Khawam Brothers, acquired c. 1940
Private collection Switzerland, acquired 1966
