Tanagra female figure
Hellenistic, circa 3rd century BC
Height: 15.9 cm
Mould-made, standing with her weight on her right leg, her left foot visible beneath her long chiton, a himation wrapped tightly around her shoulders, with her arms raised underneath, her face looking downwards and to the right, her hair arranged in a melon-coiffure with a chignon at the back, preserving traces of white slip. This comes with a thermoluminescence test report from Oxford Authentication confirming its antiquity.
