Of elegant, schematized form, with flat, spoon bill, upright legs, and curved flaring tail decorated with a dot within an incised circle; pierced through the body.
This bird is a votive offering and was probably connected with the Sanctuary of Zeus at Pherai; the pierced hole was either to suspend it by a string or to attach it to a pin.
