Pair of Roman gold and garnet earrings

Pair of fine gold openwork earrings of circular form each with three garnet drops attached by loops to a decorative panel at the bottom of the circular body. The stones are set within gold mounts, the gold wire extending down and forming a knot (this may have held a second stone in place on each drop - now missing). At the centre of the large ornate discs, a garnet bead attached with a gold pin through the centre.

Condition: Small area of damage to filigree at the top of on one earring restored and one hook replaced
