Single earring the hook attached to a circular disc of gold, edged with gold wire and with central gold knob, a flattened oval amethyst drop hangs below.

This earring originally adorned an Egyptian bronze seated cat, that was a gift from Charlie Chaplin to his wife, Paulette Goddard in 1939.
