Charles Vacher N.W.S.  1818-1883

 

Landscape painter, studied at the R.A. schools and in Rome from 1839.

He visited Sicily, France, Germany, Algeria and Egypt.  He exhibited from 1838 and was elected a member of the New Watercolour Society in 1850.  A studio sale was held at Chrisities on  21st February, 1884.  Examples of his work are at the Victoria and Albert Museum and the British Museum.
