A gold phallic amulet with a garnet inset at the top below suspension loop. Above the testicles are two 'arms', one phallic and the other a clenched fist. Below the hand are three surviving gold suspension wires, likely originally fitted with pearls or beads, now missing.
The object is conceived as a protective amulet; phallic imagery was widely understood to avert evil and promote fertility and good fortune.
In wearable condition, with no evidence of restoration. Unusual iconography and fine workmanship.
